Mercosur Inspections Asses Cattle Health and Border Control

BOLIVIA – A team of animal health technicians are visiting local animal health offices in the Brazil/Bolivia borders to assess foot and mouth risk, bio-security hazards and protocols.

Comprised of veterinarians from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia, the mission inspected the health plans of cattle farms and the serological surveillance operations in the area.

Vet/farmer cooperation and border checkpoints were also scrutinised. After inspection the team issued recommendations over vaccination and disease surveillance.
