As milk output in most EU member states is below quota the impact of the removal of the quota system on international markets is expected to be low. This is the view of Joop Kleibeuker of the European Dairy Association.

The few that are at their quota ceiling are those more tuned into the export market. Total EU output is projected to grow by only 1 per cent per year between 2015 and 2020.
