Visitors to the SilAC site will find advice on topics, from grassland management to feeding techniques.

The new site was launched at the Dairy Event held at the NEC in Birmingham this week.

SilAC has attended many shows and events this summer to gather information about what farmers want from the site.

The new features include a “Ask the experts” feature to give the visitors the opportunity to enter a question, there contact details, press send and expect a response back from the site after 48 hours.

Backed by a team of industry experts questions will be directed towards the most relevant SilAC expert. including Dave Davies, Director of Silage Solutions; Rhun Fychan, Research Scientist at IBERS; Graham Ragg, Arable & Fertiliser Sales Manager for Mole Valley Farmers; Lioyd Dawson, Area Sales Manager for Bpi.agri and Paul Billings, Agricultural Director British Seed Houses Ltd.

SilAC aims to be able to ensure the materials will help aid farmers silage making practices and help ensure they make the highest quality silage possible to increase productivity and ultimately profitability on their farms.
