Irish CSO Milk Statistics for May 2012
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated as 737.3 million
litres for May 2012. This was 0.1% below the corresponding 2011 figure
Comparing the May 2012 milk produce figures with those for May 2011 showsthat:
- Total milk sold for human consumption decreased by 5.3% to 40.7 million litres.
- Butter production was up 10.0% to 20,900 tonnes.
