The move follows the visit to Omsk by Dr Pascal Leroy, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liege.

Dr Leroy was visiting Omsk to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the Belgian universities and agribusiness OmGAU and PA Stolypin in Omsk.

During his visit Dr Leroy held negotiations with the governor of the Omsk region Viktor Nazarov.

Dr Leroy also said that feeding the Belgian diet to the undemanding and hardy Siberian pigs could increase the meat yield and reduce the fat content.
