Uninfected Pigs Culled in Miyazaki
07 June 2010JAPAN - A cull of about 600 pigs at a farm in Hyuga, Miyazaki Prefecture, began Saturday.
The pig cull was begun under a special law permitting the slaughter of healthy animals to prevent the foot-and-mouth epidemic that has ravaged the southwestern prefecture from spreading further, officials said.
