Novus will highlight its sustainable nutritional solutions for multiple animal species at EuroTier 2014, the world’s leading trade fair for animal production, which takes place in Hanover, Germany from 11 to 14 November, bringing together animal production professionals from all over the world.

This year, Novus is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of its highly-effective chelated trace minerals, MINTREX®, and will host several events at EuroTier to celebrate this momentous occasion. The MINTREX molecule truly embodies Novus’s commitment to delivering innovative products that support animal nutrition and performance. This anniversary reflects Novus’s leadership position in the chelated trace minerals market and highlights the company’s dedication to sustainable solutions that improve animal welfare and the environment.

Uwe Ranft, area general manager of Europe & Middle East at Novus, said: “We are pleased to present Dr Josef Kamphues at our MINTREX 10-year anniversary celebration on November 12. He will highlight the importance of trace minerals in animal nutrition.” Dr Kamphues is the head of the Institute of Animal Nutrition at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover.

Dr Alain Bourdonnais, marketing and technical manager of minerals at Novus, explained: “MINTREX, chelated with HMTBa (the active ingredient in ALIMET® feed supplement), is a highly bioavailable source of copper, zinc and manganese.

“Research proves that MINTREX delivers more bioavailable trace minerals to the small intestine than other organic trace minerals. The more bioavailable a mineral is, the lower the dietary concentration needed and as a result, less minerals are excreted into the environment.”

Novus will also present its latest data to improve gut and foot pad health with AVIMATRIX®.

Dr Sven Keller, Novus technical manager for northern Europe, explained: “AVIMATRIX is manufactured with the Novus Premium Blend Technology, a unique manufacturing process. By reaching the lower intestines of birds, AVIMATRIX impacts the microflora balance, which ultimately supports a better bird production efficiency, particularly in challenged poultry operations.”
