Daily Dairy Trading: Butter Closes 1.5 Cents Higher After Sales06 November 2013
US – Spot market bidders added to Butter sales, forcing the price 1.5 cents higher at the close and taking the trades count to eight for the week.
Butter finished on $1.5600 but there was no alteration in Cheddar values. Blocks were last traded at $1.9025 and Barrels last movement was to finish 3.25 cents below Blocks at $1.8700.
One bid posted the Nonfat Dry Milk Extra Grade price at a possible $1.8600, one cent higher.
November Class III milk closed at $18.89, up 4 cents and Class IV closed unchanged on $20.49.
November Whey was flat, finishing on $0.5650, while Nonfat Dry Milk dropped fractionally to $1.8725.
Elsewhere in the futures market, cheese edged Higher, remaining just ahead of $1.87.
