Daily Dairy Trading: Cheddar and Butter Report Moderate Gains, Friday

US – A limited trading week concluded with moderate gains across Cheddar and Butter spot prices on Friday.

Cheddar Barrels gained 1.25 cents, closing on $1.7650 while Blocks made greater gains, up 1.75 cents to $1.8000.

The week saw trading support gains in Cheddar prices from Tuesday as eight trades were registered for Blocks and 14 for Barrels.

After lifting 1.25 cents, Butter closed on $1.5425 after posting something of a recovery after its mid-week tumble down from $1.6150 on Monday to Wednesday’s $1.5300.

No change was seen for Nonfat Dry Milk for either grade, Friday. A two cent lift was seen for Extra grade on Thursday taking it to $1.8000 while Grade A maintained $1.8450 throughout the week.
