'Soil - the hidden resource' will explore micro-organisms and their job within the soil, explaining the benefits of carbon for soil quality.

The event is jointly organised by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers and the British Grassland Society.

Speakers include Dr Jennifer Dungait of North Wyke Rathamsted Research and Liz Russell of Envirosystems, the event sponsor.

“Soil is the one natural finite resource which is vital to our future food security yet it remains a hidden asset,” says RABDF chairman, Ian Macalpine. “This conference is designed to help all farmers return to basics and find out more about how they can exploit their soil’s potential and simultaneously safeguard it for future generations. In addition, it will offer a discussion on the current state of NVZ compliance.”
