The random seroepidemiological sampling of over 600 farms has culminated in a range of samples from zone two, the foot and mouth surveillance zone, and zone one, the rest of the country.

Tests began on Monday working to determine the disease status of animals between six months and 24 months of age which will use 19,148 samples.

SENASCA stated that the current intentions have not changed – Paraguay aims to remain foot and mouth disease free.
