Daily Dairy Trading: Butter notches 32 Trades for the Week, Thursday

US – Spot prices markets saw 32 trades across Butter and limited trading for Cheese but still not activity across Non-fat Dry Milk.

Three further Butter trades pushed prices up to $1.4350 per pound. This is the highest for the week and far beyond the prior week average of $1.3695.

Cheddar commodities switched places yesterday with Blocks falling 2.25 cents to $1.7275 closing three cents below Barrels which finished on $1.7575 per pound.

Both NDM Milk grades plateaued on the week’s price of $1.8000 for Grade A and $1.7800 for Extra Grade. There has been no change since last week’s step up.

Futures traders witnessed Class III September Milk futures close at $17.62, down 27 cents. Class IV remained on $19.42 while Cheese lost $1.80 to close down to $1.7380.
