Daily Dairy Trading: Active Trading Pushes Cheese Blocks Up, Wednesday

US – Dairy spot market bidders actively pursued Cheddar Blocks yesterday, with seven trades lifting the asking price to $1.7925, up 1.25 cents.

Blocks stay up on last week’s average of $1.7705 showing good demand following a half cent increase on Monday.

No other changes were seen in the spot market although slight movement was seen in the futures market.

August Butter saw losses of more than two cents, finishing Wednesday on $1.4535.

Class III August milk dropped a cent from Monday’s close to finish down $17.95 as Class IV stayed unchanged.

Cheese edged lower, closing at $1.7630 from $1.7660.

Whey and Non-fat dry milk stayed rooted on $0.5825 and $1.7700.
