UHT Operations Manager, Donald Lumsden, says the 90 positions range across a broad spectrum of roles and will provide opportunities for applicants from a range of backgrounds with different skills and experience.

“We are really proud to be able to create these employment opportunities and offer our training and development programmes to the communities we work in. It’s all about helping our employees and their communities to thrive,” said Mr Lumsden.

Fonterra is investing more than $100 million dollars in Waitoa’s new UHT milk processing site that will increase the Co-operative’s UHT production by 100 per cent over the next few years. Products from the new plant will be bound for markets in Asia.

The site is expected to produce its first product in March 2014, with some positions becoming available from late 2013.

The site’s community recruitment day will be held at:

Where: The Waitoa Hall
When: Saturday, 20 July 2013, from 10am – 2pm

Waitoa’s UHT Operations Manager, Recruitment and Project Construction teams will be on-hand to answer any questions. Site tours will also depart every 30 minutes.
