Government Milk Promotion Scheme Underway
SPAIN – A range of promotional activities will be held across the country this week as part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s ‘I like Milk’ scheme, a project to champion dairy products as a healthy food.

Between June 10 and 15 the scheme will include promotional activities in supermarkets and a social media campaign on twitter. The slogan for the week is 'I Like Milk or '# MeGustaLaLeche'.
Largely aimed at increasing consumption in children and young people, the promotions will include showing videos of how dairy farms operate and a gigantic collage of why children like milk.
A Cheese tasting workshop has already taken place on Monday and Tuesday saw 100 children and young teenagers assemble to discuss the importance of dairy products in a balanced lifestyle.
The events will conclude on Friday with a giant collage being produced in Madrid’s Calloa square to be followed by a supermarket drive on Saturday in a public information giving exercise to targeted at all ages.
