Daily Dairy Cash Trading: Spot Prices At or Below Last Week's Average

US – Cheese cash trading witnessed another slump as 40 pound blocks dropped value again by almost 2 cents to $1.7275 per pound in an otherwise steady day that saw other spot prices hold.

All cash values are level or below last week’s average.

Seven trades of Cheddar blocks were reported yesterday, three were reported for Grade AA Butter, which closed unchanged at $1.5400.

Barrels of Cheddar closed at $1.7075. Not fat dry milk closed at $1.7000 and $1.6800 for extra grade and grade A respectively.

In the CME settlement prices for the week of June 7, Class III milk held steady at $17.78 and Class IV at $19.08. Cheese futures were also unmoved at $1.748 with Whey at $0.5800.
