Daily Dairy Cash Trading: Grade AA Butter Continues Down Trend

30 May 2013

US - Grade AA standard butter prices fell again yesterday, says the agricultural marketing service.

This left Grade AA butter at $1.54 per pound by Wednesday's close.

Cheese values followed the decline. Barrels weighing 500 pounds fell $0.0150 closing at $1.7075 per pound and 40 pound blocks lost the same value, closing at $1.7400.

Wednesday's drop was greater than the .0025 cents gain posted on Tuesday.

Prices for nonfat dry milk remained unchanged with extra grade closing at $1.70 per pound and grade A concluding the day at $1.68.
