During their meeting the officials fleshed out vital food safety regulations to include in draft legislation to regulate the precautions taken at all milk processing and delivery stages.

The regulations, still up for debate, will stipulate how dairy products are handled and recalled when falling short of food standards upon inspection or failure of the Good Manufacturing Practices.

Food transportation rules are also included, as is a food traceability scheme for refrigerated products.
