FarmGroup, a German company established by a livestock farmers, produces a cattle immobiliser, FarmFreund.

The immobiliser sends a slight electronic current which mobilises the animals. It is a safe and painless method, which ensures that the animal will remain calm and immobilised during any procedure to be performed.

The immobilizer probe is placed in the animal's anus. The depth of insertion varies depending on the part of the animal to be immobilized and the relative size of the animal. Approximately halfway between the hooks and pins is the targeted area for the tip - roughly under the tailhead.
