FarmGroup, a German company established by a livestock farmers, produces a cattle immobiliser, FarmFreund.

The immobiliser sends a slight electronic current which mobilises the animals. It is a safe and painless method, which ensures that the animal will remain calm and immobilised during any procedure to be performed.

Using FarmFreund will improve the working environment and reduce stress for both the farmer and the animal.

FarmFreund is effective, being tried, tested and trusted. Changing the angle of FarmFreund and the frequency can aid farmers in dehorning, ear tagging and castrating cattle.

The immobilizer probe is placed in the animal's anus. The depth of insertion varies depending on the part of the animal to be immobilized and the relative size of the animal. Approximately halfway between the hooks and pins is the targeted area for the tip - roughly under the tailhead.

The probe is easy to use, lightweight and mobile.

Stress can reduce an animal's growth rate, cause injuries and make the animal harder to work. The ease of use of the immobiliser will minimise animal discomfort, speeding up procedures and saving farmers time and money.
