One third of the households benefiting from the project have had calves born and presented them to other poor families.

The project is carried out by the Viet Nam Red Cross with the aim of assisting poor households to develop their husbandry and gradually escape poverty. It is one of the most effective sustainable development programmes that receive active support from ministries, businesses and benefactors.

VN$1 billion raised by the staff of the Gas Corporation under the Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group was handed over to the Viet Nam Red Cross on July 4 to contribute to the project.
