New FMD Outbreak in Mongolia

MONGOLIA - The Mongolian veterinary authorities have reported one new outbreak of foot and mouth disease.

The World Organisation for Animal Health received follow-up report no.3 dated 15 November. According to the report, the outbreak has affected cattle.

The report states that the outbreak took place at a farm in Khentii province. A total of 80 animals were affected, while 31243 animals were found susceptible to the disease.

The source of the outbreak has not been identified.
