At Copenhagen, the Prime Minister said he would decide whether Australia would go for 25 per cent cuts to its emissions when, countries make pledges to the Copenhagen Accord in February.

Wes Judd, President of the Australian Dairy Farmers told ABC Rural, that climate change and emissions trading has been a major focus for his industry this year.

He says Australia should pursue emission reductions next year.

"I get a lot of people who say well now that's over we don't have top worry about that any more," he says.

"We do, and there will be consideration coming back to this early in the new year."

"The Australian Dairy Industry Council still continues to do work on this and we need to because this subject will not go away."
