Chief inspector for Tasmania, Paul McGinty, says things are looking good, despite heavy rains and flooding across the state reports ABC Rural.

He says the RSPCA has received more calls and done more random inspections of cattle properties recently, and the report card is clear.

"Given the drought, which was followed up by the large amount of rain and given the internal industry issues that they have in relation to pricing and so forth, they should all be commended for the effort that they've put in," Mr McGinty says.

He says: "We've had little or no areas of concern with the entire industry at the moment."
