The system allows applicants to request the certificates over the Internet and track their request from the moment the request is received, accepted and processed by USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service. The new system will create shorter turn around times for processing documents.

Currently AMS’s dairy grading branch issues health certificates based on requests received via mail or FAX. This system requires longer processing times and does not allow applicants to track the progress of their request certificates.

This electronic system will integrate into the Electronic Trade Document Exchange (eTDE) System. The eTDE allows electronic exchange of critical trade documents to port of entry officials to facilitate the release of dairy products.
