Print This Page Drop of Milk: Brazilian Spot Market Price
BRAZIL - Brazilian spot market milk price has dropped for the fourth consecutive month.Considering the average price in the State of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Goiás, on September the drop was of 6,87% when compared to August. According to Scot Consultoria, negotiations occur on an average price of R$0,65/liter.
Minas Gerais is the State that presented the largest average: R$0,67/liter, while in São Paulo and Goiás the liter is negotiated at and average of R$0,62.
Scot Consultoria reveal that since May, the peak of prices on 2008, the accumulated drop on prices sums 24,59% in the average from the three states.
Prices started to decrease due to the larger milk supply and slow dairy Sales.
