Finnish Farmers Want Raised Milk Prices

FINLAND - The Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK) said Wednesday that the price paid to farmers for milk should be raised.

According to NewsRoom Finland, the lobby added that dairy farms were burdened by steep increases in energy, feed and fertilisers.

"The price paid for milk on the market must be sufficienty high to cover production costs and encourage production," it said in a statement.
