Record Booking for EuroTier 2008
HANOVER, GERMANY - Almost 1,600 exhibitors from a total of 45 countries have already registered for EuroTier 2008, which will be held in Hanover. EuroTier Project Manager Dr. Karl Schlösser, reports that this represents a 30 percent increase compared with two years ago.The exhibition area has also grown by about one third to now 170,000 m2 gross hall floor space. The DLG attributes these stand booking figures above all to the unique and comprehensive concept of this exhibition with its focus segments of cattle, pig and poultry keeping. This approach is complemented by a high demand for information and orientation on the part of professional animal farmers. With these record results, EuroTier underlines its strong appeal and its position as the world's leading exhibition for agricultural animal husbandry.
EuroTier claims to be Europe's most comprehensive information bourse for professional animal husbandry. The leading companies in the sector will be represented in Hanover with a complete programme and many innovations. At the present time, according to the information supplied by the organiser DLG
Outstanding participation from foreign countries
The large increase in the number of exhibitors is attributable in particular to the outstanding participation from other countries. At over 650 exhibitors from 45 countries already at this stage, the DLG reports its highest ever foreign contingent. With 153 companies, the Netherlands once again head the league.
Exceptionally high and by comparison with 2006 distinctly increased numbers of exhibitors have also been registered from France (85), Italy (62), Denmark (49), Spain (36), Belgium (35), the United Kingdom (31), Austria (30), and from the USA and Canada (36). The DLG rates this as a clear indication that the companies from these countries want to use EuroTier as an international turntable for the markets throughout Europe, Russia, as well as in the Near and Middle East and Eastern Asia.
EuroTier 2008 – a top-level programme from exhibitors
With its all-embracing range of information covering all detail aspects of modern animal husbandry, EuroTier 2008 will be an indispensable source of information for farmers. According to the information supplied by EuroTier Project Manager Dr. Karl Schlösser, outstanding participation has been recorded in all areas of the exhibition. EuroTier will be presenting a complete programme in both the pig and cattle sectors, as well as in the poultry sector with the World Poultry Show.
By comparison with preceding years stand bookings to date have grown encouragingly, especially in the areas of machinery and equipment for climate control, feedstuffs, animal health and veterinary medicine, and other farm inputs too. Impressive exhibitor interest in the area of bioenergy with the "BioEnergy Europe" sub-exhibition that was successfully premiered two years ago has also been noted. Furthermore, together with the DLG and its experts, the advisory staff of many international associations and organisations as well as institutions in the field of research and science will be providing comprehensive options for gathering information at EuroTier 2008.
