Print This Page Polish Cheese Protected
The European Commission has added the Polish cheese Oscypek to the list of products that has Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).The decision will be published in the Official Journal this week and will come into force on 5 March.
The product will be added to the list of around 800 other products that are protected by law either by their geographical production, their designated origin or because of their specialist and traditional method of manufacture.
The designation is designed to protect the quality of these specialist products.
