New Feeders

I bought two bull calves 500 and 650 pounds from a neighbor took them to vet for vaccinations and castration. First 24 hrs everything was normal but the next day they developed diarrhea. I have not given them anything but hay like they had before. I thought I should wait in the grain because of the diarrhea. Is it normal for new calves to develop diarrhea when go through the stress of moving them and being at vet.
