Wardensville Bull Sale March 24th--Your Source for RFI and Feed Efficiency

A number of bull test stations around the country are collecting and measuring individual feed intake data and calculating RFI, but the first bull test in the nation to do so was the Wardensville Bull Test in Wardensville, WV. If you have an interest in RFI, the Wardensville Bull Test's 44th annual sale will be held on March 24th, 2011 at noon where around 90 Angus and a few Hereford, Charolais, and SimAngus bulls will sell. . These bulls are developed on a high forage ration (greater than 85% ground grass hay) and are solid and ready to work!

We would also like to know how many cow/calf producers out there are using RFI information in selecting bulls? If you are selecting for it, where does it rank in importance among available traits? If you are not selecting for RFI, why?

He is a Schurrgene 2063 2916 X Schurrtop Supreme. His dam has a BWR 5/100, WWR 5/111, YR 4/107, IMF 4/102, and REA 4/100. Individual performance was 3.63/97 ADG/Ratio and with an RFI of -3.56.
